“CKiD Families” Facebook Group

CKiD has created a Facebook group, called “CKiD Families.” The group allows CKiD participants and their families to connect with one another, stay informed on study developments and news, and learn about the study’s scientific achievements. The group is a private page, which means that members must be approved by the group administrator, only members of the group can see the posts and content, and people who are not members cannot see the membership list.  

If you have questions or other problems with the joining the Facebook group please contact your CKiD study coordinator.

Instructions to search for CKiD Families on Facebook

Using the link is the best option to join the Facebook group because sometimes using the search bar to search for a group in Facebook does not work. However, if you want to search Facebook for the CKiD Families group, you can attempt to locate the group by doing the following: 

  1. After logging into your Facebook account, go to the home page and click on the “Search Facebook” function (located at the top left of the screen). 
  2. In the search field, type “ckid families” and hit enter. 
  3. On the left-hand side, there is a filters section. Select the groups category. Neither public groups nor my groups should be turned on for the search filter. 
  4. At the top of the results, there will be a prompt saying, “Including results for kid families.” Beneath that, there is the option to “search instead for ckid families.” Click on this option. 
  5. After selecting “search instead for ckid families”, the “CKiD Families” private group should be the top result. 

It is strongly recommended that you use the link provided to join the Facebook group because using the search function on Facebook may not work.
