In the U.S., nearly one quarter of the 1.1 million people living with HIV are women, and most are living in the Southern U.S. Women living with HIV commonly face unplanned pregnancies and negative pregnancy outcomes, so it’s critical for us to understand the effects of HIV and reproductive outcomes in women to develop future strategies to improve health!
