Below is information about the concept sheet submission and review process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-m0csrnsy-3427f4da6c7df88f478ec447571204df '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Step 1: Pre Concept Sheet Submission<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<li>Review the CKiD <a href=\"https:\/\/statepi.jhsph.edu\/ckid\/download\/276\/investigator\/6950\/section-22_publication_policy_04_15_21.pdf\">Publication Policies.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Confirm there is no overlap with previously approved projects by reviewing the <a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/appB8FbtpDT3eLsdJ\/shrBqbkP7xhGbT8M7\">List of Approved CKiD Concept Sheets.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/statepi.jhsph.edu\/ckid\/download\/276\/investigator\/6951\/ckid-cs-research-plan.docx\">research plan template<\/a> to outline your proposal.<\/li>\n<li>Internal CKiD investigators should have their new research proposal reviewed by another CKiD investigator.<\/li>\n<li>External investigators should discuss research proposal with their CKiD liaison to determine feasibility. If you are not already working with a CKiD liaison, external investigators should contact Bradley Warady (bwarady@cmh.edu) and\/or Susan Furth (furths@email.chop.edu). A CKiD liaison is required for all external investigators.<\/li>\n<li>Review the CKiD <a href=\"https:\/\/statepi.jhsph.edu\/ckid\/data-collection-forms-codebooks\/\">data codebooks and data collection forms<\/a> to help draft your proposal. Projects that require a limited dataset to perform the analysis at their institution will be required to list the specific variables that will be requested in their research Review<\/h2>\n<p>Your concept sheet will be reviewed by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The appropriate CKiD Scientific Subcommittee<\/li>\n<li>The CKiD Concept Sheet Review Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on the results of the concept sheet review, investigators will receive one of four responses:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Approved \u201cas is\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Approved with comment<\/li>\n<li>Revisions requested<\/li>\n<li>Rejected (e.g., overlap with other CKiD projects, lacking scientific merit)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\" Revisions or Amendments<\/h2>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Concept Sheet Revisions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Investigators may submit a revised concept sheet based on comments from the reviewers and Concept Sheet Review Committee.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indicate the submission type is \u201crevised\u201d on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/statepi.jhsph.edu\/ckid\/download\/276\/investigator\/6951\/ckid-cs-research-plan.docx\">Research Plan<\/a>\u00a0(page 1)<\/li>\n<li>Complete the \u201cSummary of Changes\u201d section on research plan<\/li>\n<li>Complete the concept sheet revision form using the individual form link that was provided via email<\/li>\n<li>Include a clean version and a tracked version of the revised concept sheet and a response to any reviewer comments<\/li>\n<li>Please reach out to Judith Jerry-Fluker if you have any questions about the resubmission process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Amendments<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Investigators may submit an addendum or amendment to a previously approved concept sheet if they are requesting additional data or specimens. The concept sheet will retain the same README number assigned to the initial project.
